As of July 1, 2020, we will resume processing all online applications for visitor visas, transit visas and electronic travel authorizations (eTAs). Please be advised that due to current travel restrictions, most people will not be able to travel to Canada at this time.

We continue to process study permit and work permit applications submitted online as well as permanent residence applications. Paper applications for visitor visas, study and work permits will not be processed until further notice.

International students: post-graduation work permit eligibility WON’T be affected if your Fall 2020 courses will be online due to #COVID19. Students can begin programs online from outside Canada and complete up to 50% of them from outside Canada.

In addition, students will not have time deducted from the length of a future post-graduation work permit for studies completed outside of Canada, up to December 31, 2020.

If you are applying for Canadian citizenship, the time you have spent abroad due to #COVID19 will not count as days in Canada. See MoreSee Less

If you’re an international student who has a valid study permit or were approved for a study permit on or before March 18, 2020 and have no symptoms of #COVID19, you are exempt from the travel restrictions and are able to travel to Canada.

Learn more: bit.ly/3aElQlM

Before you travel, you will go through health screening protocols. When you arrive in Canada, you must isolate for 14 days even if you have no symptoms. This is mandatory. If you do not have a plan for isolating in Canada, you will need to delay travel until you have made one.
